今天是VPA第一学年的最后一天，我们也迎来了告别，有伙伴之间的告别，也有师生之间的告别。

这一年，我们在这里相遇，一同经历了许多欢笑和泪水，孩子们更是在无数挑战中建立了宝贵的友谊。十分遗憾的是，一部分VPA大家庭的成员将迈向不同的道路，追寻各自的梦想。

祝福每个与我们告别的同学和老师，也感谢每一位与我们继续前行的同伴，相信VPA会一年更比一年好，持续为孩子们提供最优质的教育。

Last Day of First School Year

第一学年结束了！

7月5日，本周三，我们举办了五年级毕业典礼（在IB课程中，PYP小学阶段为一至五年级）。孩子们邀请了自己的家人共同庆祝这一时刻。

VPA为每一位师生定制了纪念抱枕，希望大家抱着这些抱枕的时候，仍能感受到彼此的温暖和深厚的情谊。

我们还为大家准备了孩子们最爱的pizza、蛋挞、泡芙，以及水果和饮品作为特别的下午茶，一起享受美食，共同分享欢乐。

孔博士亲自为孩子们颁发证书，还为每个孩子准备了一颗星星，每颗星星代表了IB学习的关键要素：各种学习能力、跨学科学习、行动和反思。

孩子们还为大家准备了动人的合唱，以及精彩的演讲和表演。

我们非常高兴能见证着孩子们的成长。很多孩子来VPA之前从未接触过IB，但是在短短的一年里，他们飞速成长，令人骄傲。愿他们在MYP阶段继续展现出杰出的学术表现和全面发展！

今天一早，我们举行了本学年最后一场晨间音乐会。

孩子们准备了各种独奏表演，展现中西方的不同乐器。

一甲一班的孩子们还准备了合唱，一曲轻松愉快的《Lemon Tree》为大家注入活力。

下午，孔博士为获得奖学金的孩子们颁发了证书，他们平时优异的表现我们都有目共睹。

同时，我们也要特别提及那些没有获得奖学金的孩子们。虽然没有被选中，但他们同样展现了出色的努力和才华，他们的付出和进步也不容忽视。

让我们一起为所有孩子们的努力和成就鼓掌！

希望大家继续保持努力和积极的态度，相信自己的潜力，一定能够取得更大的成就。

随后便宣布了几位即将在下学期离开我们的老师，孔博士为他们献上鲜花，感谢这一年的付出。很多孩子潸然泪下，十分不舍这些陪伴了他们一年的老师们。

不过，离别也不一定是句号，可以是逗号，也可以是分号；离别也是人生不可避免的一件事，它会让人十分难过，但也让人们更加懂得珍惜当下。

丽林维育维多利亚学校的第一学年就这样顺利落幕，期待与老朋友、新朋友共同在新的学年相见！

Today was the last day of VPA"s first academic year, and we had to face farewell. There are farewells between friends and farewells between teachers and students.

Throughout this year, we have met here and experienced many moments of laughter and tears together. Children, in particular, have formed precious friendships amidst countless challenges. It is unfortunate that some members of the VPA community will embark on different paths to pursue their dreams.

We send our best wishes to every student and teacher who is leaving us, and we express our gratitude to every companion who continues on this journey with us. We believe that VPA will continue to thrive and provide the highest quality education for our children.

Last Day of

First School Year

On July 5th, this Wednesday, we held the Grade 5 Graduation Ceremony (in the IB curriculum, the PYP elementary stage consists of grades one to five). The children invited their families to celebrate this moment together.

VPA has custom-made commemorative pillows for each teacher and student, hoping that when they hold these pillows, they can still feel the warmth and profound friendship between each other.

We have also prepared children"s favorite pizzas, egg tarts, cream puffs, as well as fruits and beverages as a special afternoon tea. Let"s enjoy the delicious food together and share the joy.

Dr. Koong presented certificates to all the children and prepared a star for each of them, symbolizing key elements of IB learning: skills, transdisciplinary learning, action, and reflection.

Children also prepared touching choir performances, as well as captivating speeches and performances.

We are delighted to witness the growth of these children. Many of them had never been exposed to IB before coming to VPA, but in just a year, they have grown rapidly, making us proud. We hope they continue to demonstrate outstanding academic performance and holistic development in the MYP journey!

This morning, we had our last morning concert of this academic year.

Children prepared a variety of solo performances, showcasing different musical instruments from both Eastern and Western traditions.

Students from Y1A1 also prepared a lively and cheerful choir performance of the song "Lemon Tree," bringing energy and joy to everyone.

In the afternoon, Dr. Koong presented certificates to the students who received scholarships. We all witnessed their outstanding performance.

At the same time, we must also acknowledge those students who did not receive scholarships. Although they were not chosen, they have demonstrated remarkable effort and talent. Their dedication and progress should not be neglected.

Let"s applaud together for the efforts and achievements of all the children!

We hope that everyone will continue working hard and maintaining a positive attitude. Believe in your own potential, and you will surely achieve even greater success.

Afterwards, the announcement was made about some teachers who will be leaving us in the upcoming semester. Many children shed tears, feeling reluctant to say goodbye to the teachers who have accompanied them throughout the year.

However, farewell is not necessarily a period, it can be a comma, or a semicolon; it is an inevitable part of life that brings sadness, but it also teaches us to cherish the present moment.

The first year of Victoria Park Academy has come to a successful conclusion, and we look forward to reuniting with old friends and welcoming new friends in the upcoming school year!
